Ruth Anne and her husband are excited that she is pregnant and don't care if it's a boy or a girl.  Just so it's healthy.   They are shocked when they find out their baby has down syndrome and have to deal with a lot of new feelings.   Will their faith in God see them through?

A Son for Always by Amy Clipston

Carolyn and Joshua are anxiously waiting for the arrival of their new little one.  Carolyn though is bone tired from working all day the hotel and her feet keep swelling.   She feels that she must keep working to support her son she had when she was a teenager because he is not Joshua's.   Joshua loves her son David as his own but he is having a hard time convincing Carolyn that he will love them all like a good father should.

A Heart Full of Love by Kathleen Fuller

Ellie and her husband are so excited to learn she is having twins but she dreads telling her parents. Her Mother seems to believe she needs to protect her all the time because she is blind.   How will she react when she finds out there are two.   Ellie is puzzled by her mother's actions when the babies are born and has to let her mother know that she will not put up with it.    It is then that the secret is revealed and she finds out what's behind her Mother's strange behavior.

An Unexpected Blessing by Vannetta Chapman

Etta can't believe at 42 that she and her husband will soon be receiving an unexpected blessing.   She has so much to put in God's hands, her son David still gone from the fold, their farm finances are in the red, and the little one soon to come.

My thoughts:

These stories were such a treasure to read.   Each one spoke to my heart as I read them.  I felt for each one of the women has the each go through their trails with having a new little one.

I do have to say the last story, An Unexpected Blessing really hit close to home, because of  Etta's age, I felt as though I could connect with her more because she was an older woman and she dealt with a lot of things that I might myself might experience.   I could feel her pain when she wanted her older son David to reconnect, anxiousness when they felt that it was time to move from the farm, and then to top it off  she finds that a late in life baby is coming.

You will enjoy everyone of these stories and you too will pick your favorite one.   They give you hope that even with a bad situation that God can help make things work out for the good.
