4 Great Ways to Give Without Using Money

 I always feel good when I can donate to the charity of my choice.   I have found though, my funds will only go so far and I would love to help more.   When I use these 4 great ways I feel as though I giving much more than I would have thought possible.

1.  Time and energy.   You know I was going to name this post effortless ways to give and I had to change it.   I know that this is probably one of the most important things we can do is give our time and energy to a charity or organization.  They need the help even if you can only give a couple of hours I know they will appreciate it.

2.  Food drives-  Like the recent United States Postal Services Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive,  This one is so easy!  Just go to your pantry, fill a bag of non-perishable food, and leave it by your mailbox. Our local schools also have food drives and have a contest each year hoping to be the top giving school of the county.

3.  Fund raiser's - Help your favorite charity by helping out with their fundraiser.   Maybe you could make something to sell with your stash, walk, man the booth, or sell something you have in order to help them make their goal.

4.  Company's that help you give.  Some companies have great ways you can give to a charity when you buy products you may already use.  Here are some examples:

     A.  You can use your paw points from  Fresh step  cat litter boxes to donate to the ASPCA now through June 30.    For 200 points you can redeem 200 points they will give a $5.00 donation and 400 points they will give a $10 donation  (minimum of 200 points).   (I'm working on this one ...well the cat is!).

     B.  Swagbucks- when a disaster strikes, like the recent Nepal Earthquake, I love to be able donate some of my Swagbucks.   Every Swagbuck that is donated is equal to .01 so say if you donate $10,000 Swagbucks it will equal to $10.00.  (You can donate as little as 5 Swagbucks).  This month's donations will go to Save the Children. There are many other charity's as well that are listed on the Swagbuck's site that you can donate to.

     C. General Mills Box Tops for Education.  It's as simple as clipping the box tops symbols off participating box tops of General Mills products.   Then drop the box tops off to the school of your choice.  Each box top is worth 10 cents for your school.
