My Frugal Ways This Past Week 6/21/15

My Frugal Ways This Past Week 6/21/15

I was able to pick a couple of handfuls of strawberries from my new patch I planted.  I also continued picking lettuce and radishes in our vegetable garden.

We went to the Farmers Market and were amazed at the high price for leaf lettuce.  It was just a handful in a bag for $2.50!  We then saw the radishes for $2.50 for a handful also.   When we came home we picked all the lettuce we could (overgrown and ready to go to seed).   Then we plowed up the patch and we planted some more lettuce again. The amount saved by growing our own was unbelievable.    There is gold in our backyard!

We sold an item on craigslist.   It had been on there quite awhile but with a reduced price it finally sold.   We thought that lower price was better than sitting in our garage.

Made Greek Yogurt in my crockpot.

In between rains I have been able to hang out many loads of laundry on the line.

My Frugal Ways This Past Week

Bought a new summer purse from Sears for $6.00 with $10 shop your way rewards received in an email.  I also found a Miche bag at a garage sale for $6.00 that I will save for winter.

Repaired a shirt and shorts for youngest daughter.  I should teach her how to sew.

I was able to order another Starbuck's card from Swagbuck's  for one of  my oldest daughter's Christmas presents.  I also was able to earn an extra 30 swagbucks for participating in the Team challenge this past week.

Used two big sacks from the department store for garbage bags.

What ways have you saved money this week?
